Mehdi (b. 1993, Brussels, Belgium) is a Belgian photographer of Moroccan descent whose work explores observation as a photographic practice.

Since taking up photography in 2018, he has developed an instinctive approach centered on public space, producing long-term projects across Belgium, Spain and elsewhere. Working without predetermined concepts, he reacts to what unfolds around him, allowing connections and recurring ideas to emerge through editing.

His long-term body of work, Beyond the Familiar, brings together a series of projects that examine different ways of seeing people and places.

His work has been exhibited internationally and commissioned by brands and institutions including Volvo Belgium, the City of Brussels, the Region of Flanders and KBC Bank.
